Sale City Band - Brass band

With our bright red uniforms and glowing brass instruments, Sale City Band has been an icon at functions across the Gippsland region for 150 years. Currently with about 30 musicians in the senior brass band, and a dedicated number of learners, Sale City Band is a strong contingent that enjoys regional, state and national success at various eistedfodds and competitons. Since it was loosely formed by enthusiastic musicians in 1871 and despite many name changes, the heart of the band has remained the same - to perform to the best of its ability for its town and surrounds.

2021 marked the band's 150th year making it one of the oldest Brass Bands in Victoria. Having survived through Wars, hard financial times, the Spanish Infuenza and recent pandemic, the Sale City Band has remained strong.
