A back story to Shirley’s:
Shirley is Patrick’s Grandmother and best friend, she adopted and fostered children throughout her entire life…. Changing the direction of many children without the luxury of a family unit.
She has been an inspiration and the most positive influence on Pats life and many other family and friends, she saw the best in people especially family and
there was always a bed and food on the table for anyone in need
Food was always handmade with love and dedication…… with limited funds and amenities what she could provide to a very large table was always delicious, nutritious, and hearty with a sweet treat to finish! Many of these are replicated daily in the Shirley’s kitchen
She was an artist in many ways, she built, sowed, welded, embroidered, bone carver, jewellery, a binder…… she always gave her time to her family and those in need, along with lending her hand to the local community and surrounding churches, a selfless woman with so many wonderful attributes and skill sets.
Shirley’s café and bar is a tribute you Grandma, I will always love you and be forever grateful for your love, heart, dedication and guidance…..
