Marlay Point Campground - Free or Low Cost Camp

Located 10 Km from Sale on Lake Wellington, Marlay Point is home to Australia's largest trailer sailer overnight yacht race, the Marlay Point Overnight Yacht Race. 

A sandy beach, boat launching ramps, jetties and picnic facilities are provided at Marlay Point, along with a wonderful grassed camping area alongside the Yacht Club. There is a FREE camp site right on the water’s edge plus a public toilet block but no showers, electricity or drinking water. There is an electric BBQ & shelter available and the camping/foreshore area is pet friendly.

Visitors can experience expansive views of Lake Wellington, the closest lake in the Gippsland Lakes system to Sale from the jetty. Marlay Point is also home to the Lake Wellington Yacht Club who hold regular yachting regattas over the summer period. Toilet facilities are located onsite and camping is permitted.

Please note: Not all parks or campgrounds allow campfires. Make sure you check the park signs in the campground before you light a campfire.
